STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

ATTENTION ALL 7TH GRADE STUDENTS IN SPANISH AND FRENCH 1:  Don’t forget to KEEP your workbook for Spanish and French II for next year.

 

Happy Birthday wishes to Fiona Campbell, Katherine Ghiselli.

 

Looking for something to do this summer?  Here are all ten reasons to sign up for Camp VIP:

  1. You can make an awesome scrapbook with MRS. SHEPLEY or take her class called OPEN THE GATE TO LEARNING.

  2. You can learn to plan, cook, and EAT gourmet meals with MRS. ARRASMITH.

  3. MR WILLIAMS at the high school can teach you all about Animation in 3D—AT Mira Costa.

  4. You can study MAD MONOLOGUES and SILLY SCENES, or become a LOGIC MASTER with Miss Gold. 

  5. Enjoy a week of Musical Theatre in BROADWAY AT THE BEACH with MRS. THOMPSON.

  6. You can learn to KNIT with MISS RADHA (remember her from Pennekamp?)

  7. Spend a week with our very own RESOURCE OFFICER MARTIN at the Manhattan Beach Police Department in the JUNIOR LEADERSHIP ACADEMY CLASS.

  8. Join the very first ODYSSEY OF THE MIND CLASS with MRS. RENSHAW and be a part of creative problem solving.

  9. You will have FUN and LEARN something new.

  10. You can spend the entire summer at the beach or the mall.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Congratulations to the following students who participated in the PTA Reflections contest earlier in the school year.

 

Jigar Bhakta—Won first place and went on to win first place in the entire 33rd District for his musical composition.

Victoria Jasuta—won first place in the Manhattan Beach District, and received an honorable mention in the 33rd District for her literature entry.

Margaret Ginoza—won first place in the Manhattan Beach District for her photography entry.

 

Once again, congratulations to Jigar Bhakta, Victoria Jasuta and Margaret Ginoza—and thank you to all the students who entered the Reflections contest.

 

REMINDER:  Do you still need to return textbooks, folders, library books or anything else that you have checked out or borrowed?  Bring the items, or the money to pay for them, to the office or the library before or after school.  If your teacher will allow you to leave class, you may clear then.  NO CLEARANCE during nutrition or lunch.  Yearbooks, report cards, promotion items will be withheld until you are cleared.
